Cracked, but not shattered

Is it a family curse or it is just pure evil?

PictureWarning: This narrative contains adult content which may be unsuitable for children under the age of 16.
Cracked Glass, The Whole Damned Family is a true chronicle of a family's ordeal with horrendous dysfunction in terms of alcoholism, drug and sexual abuse, racism, and the tragic deaths that stemmed from the roots of the 1920s through the early 1970s.

Using a backdrop of historical events,  the author reveals how deep rooted poverty and ignorance, as seen by many as a curse, led her to expose family secrets in 1983.
With its strong emphasis on the author's struggles for identity, purpose, and survival, it becomes increasingly clear that while Shirley Gale has no idea who she is in the family, she is positively aware of who she is not.

"To be honest, I didn't want to be a Johnson any more than I wanted to be a Snider. Neither one of these names felt right to me. I didn't even want a last name..."

Despite all the horrific events that transpired in her young life, Shirley Gale Snider's belief in God's deliverance and a bet on getting her high school diploma would be her saving grace.

Chilling, gripping, sad, and at times even funny, Cracked Glass... takes it audience on a dark journey into bitter truths surrounded by devilish deceit.
